Well upon Brandy singing her renditions of Sam Cook's, 'Change Is Going To Come', and Julie Garland's and a slew of other singers cover of like song, 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow', she has decided to make a transition from singer to rapper.
She will be going by the name 'Bran-u'
Personally, I can't see her becoming a rap artist and becoming a success at it at all.
Whatever happened to sticking with what you know or not trying to fix a wheel that is not broken?
Word to Brandy and a slew of other artists who had some serious shine in the 90's but somehow had their train derailed, if you don't want to devote some of your time to raising your family and living off the riches that your success has brought you, focus on becoming a producer or record label executive instead. Find musicians, vocalists that are looking to break into the industry and cultivate their talent so that they could be a mainstream success and you as the executive or producer can capitalize monetarily as a singer/musician turned businessman. There is nothing worse than seeing some former entertainers still trying to relive their past glory -- but when they try to make a transition in  a music genre, in which they obvious don't blend in well with, is even harder -- a new comer in the rap game while in her/his 30's let alone 40's is just as disturbing as knowing that  the likes of Snoop Dogg and  LL Cool J are still at.

I really feel that rap music should have an age restriction on rappers and that Brandy may want to rethink this venture.

Brandy's career is in crisis. I saw her videos on youtube singing those songs and it was like she was crying out for help. Maybe it is just me but it really look like she was losing it and I don't think that she will have a good career in rap music. She may want to go into modeling instead. I feel that suits her just as much as becoming a music business owner.
