Marilyn Manson was dropped from Interscope due to the fledgling sells of his latest album. The shock rock singer finds his release from the record company as a sign of relief considering that they, according to him, had assumed all creative control and artistic direction of his albums -- which was something that he became increasingly frustrated with.
Now, Manson is free to pursue other artistic pursuits of both music and film in which he can regain and have creative control. A record label or production company of his own in the future? Could be.
Word to all reading this, never lose yourself in your craft, work or your desire of being one of the best to do whatever it is that you do as it would be far too easy for someone to take it from you and make it their own.
Plan a few steps ahead in preparation of being told by an entity, albeit person, people or business, greater than yourself, that you are no longer needed anymore once you are deemed a 'no win situation'. The best success, in addition to the success you attained though your entity, is being able to move on progressively without them.
