Sometimes you just have to rank people, of the fairer gender, as broads. The question of respect is thrown out the window like caution to the wind. Why? Simply because some of them just don't behave like women and therefore fail to carry themselves *in my She'Nay Nay voice* az lay-deez -- okay.
This is especially true when they make it their damn business to lose or jeopardize their respect because they are exceptionally lonely. When this happens, best believe that thirsty and thusty will raise their ugly heads.Yes, you read it correctly, thusty; a step just south of being thirsty.
Thirsty equates to the Cassies of the world *even if married*; broads who say they at least have a motherfucking man because it comes with substantical benefits;their damn bills are being paid, a substantial amount of money is wired to their accounts, some fame, shopping sprees and trips are being expensed by the men as compensation for tolerating their illicit, bullshit behavior--even a few ass whippings to validate his lack of responsibility as husband and head of household.
Unfortunately, thusty doesn't guarantee the distinct honor simply because this category normally reeks of bastards who are piss po broke and won't amount to shit even if life and limb depends on otherwise.
However, the usually successful broads just don't give a damn because it is overly motherfucking important for them to say that at least they, too, got a man; which brings me to my point: just when one thought that he/she was praising a class act -- including the up and coming that may need some cultivating, on her accomplishments or overcoming feets defying the odds against her in her chosen fields of success, that damn broad makes you hang your fucking head in epic shame by introducing everyone in the world to the latest in thust -- fresh out of prison to exchange the brass ring for gold to shamelessly ho'ing for higher income bracket meal ticket because the one he has is no longer sufficient.
Again, this is about respect. And in addition to respect, happiness and peace with one's self and knowing thyself and completely appreciating self worth in order to not settle for anything just to say you have someone who is obviously not even deserving of you and in some cases, vice-a-verse.
So, isn't that better than risk being some man's personal jack ass all because you want to say at least you have a man?

sad yet true.
smh
now, idk why the two posters above me have little to say but I will leave it at the notion that they post is talking about them. This may be an indicator that women may want to broaden their options in terms of whom they choose to date rather than settle to say that they have a man. A black one at that which seems to be the case.
I'm right here in Atlanta and I am not the best looking dude or a successful one around and this post has some truth to it. A lot of the women here will lower their standards and jeopardize their respect or status just to say that they have a man in general. Especially a black one. I guess because the black men who have it together are rare and know this and have a full pick of litter when it comes to women in general regardless of the race and status whereas it does not go the same for women. Especially black women who seem to be making do just to say that they have a man in their life. I know that I am a man but I have a sister and that makes it more disturbing to me to see how many women (sister included) have disregarded their respect including achievements to invest in having a man who is really not about shit around fucking up things left and right for them.....but I guess, it is about really just saying "they have a man" because you really can't tell grown women nothing. Especially about safe guarding their own happiness. By the way, those fake ass smiles tell the whole story. Or is it just me?
Nothing like black love but I think that the ladies may want to raise the bar on standards. I agree with the comment that Fantasia should know what it felt like as something similar did happen to her so. All in all, it should be about breaking a vicious cycle rather than repeating it time and time again. Something that these women know about and that we are just finding out about them or assessing from pictures taken.
some women just don't see how much credibility they lose when they just resort to settling. damn shame is that some never realize that nothing good comes from that but to each woman her own.
So, isn't that better than risk being some man's personal jack ass all because you want to say at least you have a man?

To the blog owner: You know that some women have self esteem so low that it wouldn't even matter.

I couldn't have said any better.
I really think that it has a lot to do with what kind of family background most women have in comparison to the select few.
For example, Kim K dad is deceased and her upbringing was dependent on her mother who conditioned her daughters to follow the money and fame as she did and still doing by way of Bruce Jenner at all cost.
There are a lot of women like this and will tolerate any kind of "abuse" just to hold on to a man in hopes that it will pay off big for them one day.
What it really boils down to is finding a man who can support them financially even if neither are really happy in the union.
Then you have others like Fantasia who grew up in homes where their dads were more than likely absent rather than dead so it will be like having the positive or negative male figure that they never had in addition to having someone in their lives even if that men they choose is not really good for them.
It is really about accepting who the men are without actually accepting them at all because of the need to have someone to love and keep company with rather than being alone and possibly even happier that way than being miserable just to say they have someone.
But this is just my two cents to contribute to the post.
