It took over five years to date for Justin Timberlake to say, or at least claim, that he is sorry for his role in the incident surrounding his and Janet Jackson's 2004 Superbowl performance --the one in which Ms. Jackson had the 'wardrobe malfunction' due to his pulling HARD at her top that revealed her breast; a publicity stunt that went awry.
The reason why Mr.Timberlake is sorry is due to the fact that he distant himself from the icon leaving her to take the spear in the chest when the FCC went on the war path. Timberlake didn't owe up to his role whatsoever and did everything possible to not address it when the matter came up -- and successfully so even when the singer herself reached out to him a few times only to later realize who her REAL friends were in the industry. The song, featuring Nelly Furtado, that the young artist did with the Timbaland didn't help matters either but I digress but all in all, he says that he is sorry and he should have spoke up on Jackson's behalf rather than say or do nothing.
Conscience eating at you much, Justin? That apology was long overdue.
Word to Justin, take your own song's, 'What Goes Around Comes Back Around', lyrics to heart.
