Some songs, such as 'We Are The World', should not be touched once previously released -- and just because Quincy Jones is one of the greatest to ever write music doesn't make him immune to the hard to swallow truth.
As a matter of fact, he should know better! To make matters even worse, Mr. Jones affirmed Jay's ever so subtle diss by using entertainers who had no fucking business participating in a cover of said song.
Although the song was to benefit the plight in Haiti, it begs the question of where the shit does Fonzworth Bentley and Kanye West no singing asses fit in?
I have been asking this question upon seeing the premier Saturday and I await on someone to espouse.

Yes, Sultry singer, Beyonce has embarked upon another damn lawsuit! And again, it is over fashion and design seen in her music video, 'Video Phone'.
The design in question by Bulgarian designer, Iskren Lozanov, is shown on the right. This week, the 7th Civil Chamber of the Landgericht Munich upheld an ex parte injunction barring Sony from distributing the video clip in Germany.
Triumph argued Beyonce was wearing an unauthorized reproduction of the Iskren Lozanov design. Sony countered that both designs were inspired by Picasso, but otherwise, there were few similarities -- namely the slips, in particular, were wholly different. The judge disagreed citing the obvious: the Lozanov design was highly original and enjoyed a wide scope of protection, and was therefore infringed by the underwear worn by Beyonce.
Damn, Beyonce this year really doesn't seem to be panning out well for you! Maybe it has a lot to do with your earlier treatment of fellow artists -- including former Destiny's Child bandmates.
It doesn't matter if one is rich but I have yet to come across anyone who has fucking money setting aside just to pay off lawsuits as they arise. No wonder her ass can't take a break from the business. Talk about the importance of practicing good business ethics and making your own shit...smdh.

Jay's comment was on point although not needed. I personally thought the song was hideous and took away tremendously from the original cover of the song.
His wife should really try to focus on her own concepts than stealing from others to credit as her own. When will ever she learn?
I felt that most of the "musicians/artist" on the newly released cover of the song were literally out of their league and because they have questionable talents to begin with they had nothing to offer in regards to making real artistic contribution to the song. It was came across as insincere and more like an agenda to push individual projects or agendas. SO yeah, Q needed his ass kicked for even considering some of them in the project......including Wyclef who sounded like a wounded goat.

Beyonce is not going to learn from this. She is going to continue doing what she does best and that is ripping off talent that she wish she had from other sources but I have to admit, she does look good in them drawers unlike the model in the original. So I guess imitation is the best form of flattery. lol
